The festival has three (3) categories, namely:
General and competitive category (GCC)
Special competitive category (SCC)
Non competitive category (NCC)
A. GENERAL COMPETATIVE CATEGORY (GCC)
This section is open for African films/video made by African students all over the world. The following prizes will be awarded under this category.
Best Makeup artist / Best Costume
Best Music video
Best Group work/ class work
Best Sound track
C. SPECIAL COMPETATIVE CATEGORY (SCC)
This section is reserved for Technology driven films made by African film students, like film made on phones and avant-garde film method. Under this category the following prize will be awarded.
Use of Technology (Phone)
Unusual Film Making
This category will also be referred to as Technology Avant-garde.
D. NON-COMPETATIVE CATEGORY (NCC)
Awards will be given out for special recognition of certain persons contribution to the film, student and allied and social development.
